2018 conference on education development implemention (basic education sector) holds in Nay Pyi Taw

UNION Minister for Education Dr. Myo Thein Gyi attended the 2018 Education Development Implemention Conference (basic education sector) for the first day held at the International Convention Centre-II, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

In his opening speech, Union Minister for Education Dr. Myo Thein Gyi said that the Ministry of Education has made concerted efforts to get every child of school age into schooling and to have access to education without any discrimination while upgrading some schools to promote opportunities for higher learning. The Ministry of Education has been striving to complete the full course of primary schooling for the children, to reduce school dropout rate and to graduate from high schools while conducting empowerment programmes such as ICT skills and teaching quality for the teachers.

As for the children, they are needed to have mutual understanding and respect for diversity, cooperation, to enhance reading through libraries while promoting sports and music programmes,

a spirit of accountability and innovation for sustainable development, he added.

Then Deputy Director General (Admin) for Department of Basic Education U Ye Lin Myint read a paper entitled, “Better management affairs and reducing lawsuits for the education staff ”.

Rector of the University of Pyay Dr. Aung Aung Min read a paper entitled, “Making analysis from the human resource’s point of view”.

Director for Department of Basic Education U Toe Win read a paper entitled, “Implementing to set up School Quality Assurance Framework”. Deputy Director for Department of Basic Education Dr. Kyaw Win Soe read a paper entitled, “Making an efficient use of school development funds aiming to empower teaching and to meet the requirements of the Basic Education School, and parent-teacher cooperation”. Deputy Director for Department of Basic Education Daw Thit Thit Khaing read a paper entitled, “Carrying out to make a success of encouraging reading habits while striving to flourish library culture and development of school libraries”.

At the conference, the participants were then divided into groups of five, discussed the topics and reviewed the results of the discussion. The 2018 Education Development Implemention Conference (basic education sector) will be held until 5 December. —MNA
